Academic Paper Rebuts Cal State Professor鈥檚 Anti-Semitic 'Scholarship'
A rebuts the anti-Semitic theories of Professor , a psychology professor at Cal State Long Beach who is widely read in neo-Nazi and white supremacist circles. MacDonald, who also is a member of a white supremacist group, published a trilogy that supposedly 鈥減roves鈥� that Jews are genetically driven to destroy Western societies. MacDonald also argues that anti-Semitism, rather than being an irrational hatred for Jews, is a logical reaction to Jewish success. So the Nazis, like many other anti-Semites, were only anti-Semitic because they were countering a genuine Jewish threat to their wellbeing.
The unpublished paper is entitled 鈥淛ews Will Be Jews: A Scientific Racialism for the 21st Century,鈥� and is written by David Isadore Lieberman, who has published several items in ABC-Clio鈥檚 . Lieberman presented a shorter version of the paper during a 2005 seminar held at the University of Southampton鈥檚 Parkes in England and has now made it available on the web.
Lieberman鈥檚 paper sets out to 鈥渋nterrogate MacDonald鈥檚 scholarship鈥� and makes clear that MacDonald鈥檚 scholarship is slipshod and based on very little evidence. Lieberman concludes that MacDonald鈥檚 work is really a 鈥渇able鈥� that substantiates a political agenda aimed at 鈥渢he destruction of the fundamental values of the American social and political system, with an interest in restricting the rights of Jews in particular, but with clear designs on the rights of all American citizens.鈥�
Makes one wonder how MacDonald sailed through his post-tenure reviews.
