Elliot Rodger, Isla Vista Shooting Suspect, Posted Misogynistic Video before Attack

Elliot Rodger, son of 鈥淗unger Games鈥� assistant director Peter Rodger, reportedly carried out a series of last night near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus to exact revenge for being rejected by women. Seven, including Rodger, were killed, and seven others were wounded.
Hours before the attack, Rodger recorded a chilling video message in his BMW, which he reportedly used to carry out the attack. In the recording, which he posted to YouTube under the title, 鈥淓lliot Rodger鈥檚 Retribution,鈥� he announced his plan to exact 鈥渞evenge on humanity鈥� because girls rejected him in his life.
In a chilling and self-pitying monologue, Rodger explains that 鈥渇or the last eight years of my life, ever since I hit puberty, I鈥檝e been forced to endure an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires, all because girls have never been attracted to me.鈥�
Rodger goes on to explain that 鈥淚鈥檓 22 years old, and I鈥檓 still a virgin.鈥� 鈥淚鈥檝e never even kissed a girl,鈥� he says.
Then the video turns ominous: 鈥淵ou girls have never been attracted to me. I don鈥檛 you know why you girls aren鈥檛 attracted to me, but I will punish you for it.鈥�
Rodger labels himself a 鈥渟upreme gentleman鈥� and 鈥渢he perfect guy鈥� and says that women鈥檚 lack of affection for him is 鈥渁n injustice, a crime.鈥� His emotional immaturity is staggering, and the video would be comic but for the tragic consequences.
As the video goes on, Rodger鈥檚 misogyny becomes more pronounced. He describes how he wants to go into the 鈥渉ottest鈥� sorority house on 鈥渢he day of retribution鈥� and 鈥渟laughter every single spoiled, stuck-up blonde s---听I see inside there.鈥� 鈥淵ou will finally see that I am the true superior one, the true alpha male,鈥� he says.

Rodger goes on to list the supposed crimes against him by women and his plan for retribution:

Girls, all I鈥檝e ever wanted was to love you and to be loved by you, and wanted a girlfriend, and wanted sex, I wanted love, affection, adoration.

You think I鈥檓 unworthy of it, that鈥檚 a crime that can never be forgiven.

If I can鈥檛 have you, girls, I will destroy you. [laughs]

You denied me a happy life and in turn, I will deny all of you life, it鈥檚 only fair. I hate you, all of you.
