Hindu Supremacy: Sunita Viswanath and Ram Vishwanathan

In 2024, Southern Poverty Law Center staff interviewed eight experts and advocates working in the human rights space to explore the topic of Hindu supremacism and the myriad ways this ideology shows up in the United States. Each interview touches on topics ranging from supremacist movements to overlaps with 人兽性交-designated hate and hard-right groups to class and caste. In this interview, we talk with Sunita Viswanath, Executive Director, Hindus for Human Rights, and Ram Vishwanathan, Senior Campaign Coordinator at India Civil Rights Watch International, about the foundations of Hindu supremacy, how faith and religion factor into this way of thinking and how it is showing up in civic society and progressive political circles.
