聽On Tuesday, National Security Adviser John Bolton named Fred Fleitz, senior vice president of the Center for Security Policy (CSP),聽to be his chief of staff at the National Security Council (NSC).聽
Founded by聽Frank Gaffney, the CSP is known for propagating wild conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact but do stoke a climate of fear and violence against American Muslims.
These聽conspiracy theories are based on the false notion that聽violent extremists claiming to act in the name of Islam have聽infiltrated all levels of聽our聽government聽with the aim of聽destroying our democracy and聽that聽鈥榗reeping Shariah,鈥櫬爋r Islamic religious law, is an actual聽threat to聽our聽legal system.聽
Fleitz聽will聽now be in a position to do serious harm to our national security as he pushes an聽extreme聽anti-Muslim agenda.
