On Feb. 20, the anti-人兽性交+ hate group Family Research Council聽(FRC) released a report it claimed showed an increase in 鈥渁cts of hostility鈥 at U.S. churches in 2023. Public comments by the group鈥檚 president, Tony Perkins, since the release suggest FRC is using attacks on 人兽性交+ and Black Christians to pad its claims about liberal policy threats to 鈥渞eligious freedom.鈥 Despite attacks on 人兽性交+-affirming churches representing nearly 20% of the total incidents documented by FRC, Perkins and others at FRC have cited the report as evidence that 人兽性交+ civil rights policies are threatening Christians鈥 safety in their houses of worship.
Anti-immigrant messaging from state and federal politicians has emboldened antigovernment groups and hard-right actors聽in Eagle Pass, Texas, and at other sites on the southern border.
