Members of the overwhelmingly white online subculture have shown up to protests heavily armed and clad in Hawaiian shirts 鈥 a reference to the 鈥渂ig luau,鈥 an adaptation of the word 鈥渂oogaloo.鈥

The white nationalist non-profit VDARE聽hosted a livestream Tuesday in Washington, D.C., in which the group lied to antiracist demonstrators, saying they were reporters with 鈥淰ICE Canada,鈥 before urging them to say and spell out their names.
